Inspired by musicians such as Barbara Streisand, Celine Dion and Bonnie Tyler, and a repertoire that includes songs such as ‘Have you ever seen the rain’; ‘It’s a heartache’; ‘Bring Jou Hart’; ‘Ons Belofte’; and ‘Need you now’, Elmie has been performing regualarity since January 2010.
She sings at Weddings, corporate functions and store openings, and has performed for the OK Food group in Theunissen, Welkom and Clocolaan, Die Uitspan Festival, The National Dod Show, as well as regular performances at Traumeri and Pretty Garden.
Elmie came 4th in the 2010 Who’s Got Talent, Bloemfontein and in May 2011 launched her debut album ‘Son en Maan” at the Vryburg show – a covers album that also includes two original tracks “Son en Maan” and “Jy Is” – a tribute to her late father.
