Hard-working Chris is a medical representative by day and a video store manager by night.  He enjoys singing pop, rock and country and likes to throw in a few dance moves to spice up his performance. He especially enjoys singing songs that lets him push his voice, such as Mika’s “Grace Kelly” and Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep”.  This all-rounder also has a keen interest in acting and studied drama for two years.

Born in Middelburg in the Eastern Cape, music has been a part of his life from a young age, thanks to his mother’s singing school.  She was a performer herself, and Chris credits her for helping him develop his voice and giving him the encouragement and support to pursue his love of music.  Another big musical inspiration was boy bands Westlife and Eden, which made him want to be part of a group.  These days, he enjoys the music of artists like Jay, Heinz Winckler and Bobby van Jaarsveld.

A true performer, Chris loves the spectacle and glamour that goes with doing a show in a classic concert venue and it is no surprise that the Sand du Plessis Theatre in Bloemfontein is his favourite place to perform.  He has shared a stage with well-known artists such as Shine 4, The Campbells, Juanita du Plessis, Anke, Sonja Heroldt, Du Preez Stoltz and Thabo Pitse.   He also likes to perform with fellow-Redstar artists Francois Jacobs and Marizanne Bekker.  Music festivals are another source of pleasure and he enjoys the casual vibe and the mix of young and old.

His biggest dream is to perform at the Huisgenoot Skouspel one day, where he will be able to bring joy through music to thousands of fans.  Not afraid to be different or original, Chris loves to do the unexpected, making sure that the audience remembers his performance for a long time to come.

Spare time is a luxury for Chris these days – working two jobs and nurturing his music career – but when has some down time, he loves to play the piano, or hang out with his friends and girlfriend.  He describes his ideal day as having time to relax by the pool, writing a few songs and playing around on the keyboard or piano, and finally spending some time in a recording studio.
