One of the highlights on the Free State events calendar is here – the Checkers Ko’s Kuierfees!  The Ko’s Kuierfees will take place on 1 and 2 June at the Bloemfontein Showground.

Last year attracted more than 7000 visitors, who attended this spectacular event, and this year the organizers are geared for even more foodies!  Festival-goers can look forward to delectable tastings of meat, cheese, baked goods, biscuits, olives, seafood, juice, chicken, pizza, spices, chocolate, wine and more from all the suppliers.  In addition to that, the Checkers Famous Four will also be available for tasting: Cheese World, Steak House Classic, Checkers Wine Route and Championship Boerewors.

Don’t forget to book your seat for one of Chef Suné Niemand’s ever-popular cooking demonstrations!  These interactive cooking demonstrations have lured food enthusiasts year after year, and this year will be no different. She will do Tappas & Odd Bins Wine pairing and demonstrations as well as a delicious Chocolate Demo and coffee pairing.

To prevent over-crowding at this year’s festival, the Checkers Ko’s Kuierfees will take place in three sessions.  There are a limited amount of tickets available for each session, so make sure you get yours early! Tickets can be booked at Computicket at the Money Market counters in any Shoprite, Checkers or Checkers Hyper. The sessions are as follows:

Friday night:  18h00 – 22h00

Saturday morning:  10h00 – 14h00
