Full-time musician, Zak Steyn, loves to make the crowds dance! As a result, he is no stranger to the Castle Deck in Bloemfontein, where he has made many a Cheetah supporter (and supporters of other teams!) sing and dance after a Cheetahs rugby match. The boy from Bloemfontein is Free State to the core – he is also a proud supporter of the Knights cricket team.

He enjoys performing party songs: Afrikaans, English, it doesn’t matter as long as people dance! This solid performer has already shared a stage with well-known artists such as Theuns Jordaan, The Campbells, Jay, Gerhard Steyn, Die Broers, Amor Vittoni, Wickus van der Merwe, Kurt Darren, Izak Davel, Dozi, Eden, Zak van Niekerk and Fredie Nest, to name a few.

Zak finds inspiration from many artists and many genres, but cites the music of Robbie Williams as a particular favourite of his. When he has spare time he likes to listen to music, but is also a self-confessed petrol head and often loses himself in the world of motoring. It is therefore no surprise that he counts Top Gear amongst his favourite TV shows!

His main goal as far as music goes, is simple: to leave people in a positive frame of mind. His upbeat personality has won him many fans and will continue to do so in future. That is if he doesn’t indulge too much in what he describes as his ideal day… at home on a drizzly, rainy day!
