Full-time musician Francois loves the upbeat, funky sounds of pop music and this is also his preferred performance genre.  He has opened for well-known artists such as DJ Ossewa, Juanita du Plessis, Dewald Louw, Thys die Bosveldklong, Die Broers and Nadine. Like most performers, he enjoys performing his own songs, but he also likes performing cover songs like Keith Urban’s “Sombody like you”, “Ek kan weer in liefde glo” from Heinz Winckler and Bobby van Jaarsveld’s “My lewe draai om jou”.

Francois was born in the North West Province, in the small town of Christiana.  He still enjoys returning to his rural roots by performing at festivals such as the Vryfees, Boertjiefees, Hertzogville Show, Delwersfees and others. However, the Sand du Plessis Theatre in Bloemfontein is also hard to beat as a performance venue.  One of his greatest inspirations is former Idol’s winner, Elvis Blue, for the fact that he stays in the moment and that he is always himself. He tries to emulate these  qualities by doing everything he does with heart and soul. Francois has an endearing presence

on stage and his music has a new and fresh sound.

When he has free time, he loves to get his friends and family together for a braai. An outdoorsy type, he is crazy about horses and goes for a ride every chance he gets.  Travelling is also high on his agenda, as is camping and playing tennis and squash. His dream would be to bring something new to the South African music scene. He wants his music to always be fresh and the electro sounds he adds to his songs certainly make them unique. He has an album in the works, which hopefully will be released later this year.
