This vivacious young pop star may have been born in the sleepy little town of Prieska in the Northern Cape, but there is nothing “sleepy” about her! In addition to her singing career, she is also a student, part of the OFM Street Squad and the Red Bull Wings Team.


No stranger to the stage, she has already performed alongside musical greats such as Heuwels Fantasties, Lianie May, Robbie Wessels, Jay and Zinkplaat. When not singing upbeat pop songs, Wilmien can be found socialising with her friends and family or indulging in most young women’s favourite pastime – shopping!

She loves performing in the Sand du Plessis Theatre, which suits her strong voice. Her down to earth, friendly nature has won her many fans, but fame is not her driving force. Instead, she seeks to be the best she can be in everything she does. People with ambition, who are able to appreciate the small things in life, inspire her and her unpretentiousness is evident in the way she describes her perfect day – lying on the beach with her best friend, soaking up the sun.

In her spare time, Wilmien loves to watch tennis, with the ever popular Roger Federer her favourite player. She also likes to watch the popular television shows Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy and CSI.wilmien
